Volunteer

Volunteer:
One who enters into or offers themselves for a service of their own free will.

Community:
An interacting population of various kinds of individuals in a common location.

The words volunteer and community are often found in the same sentence. Without the help of dedicated volunteers, the Northfield Community Action Center could not begin to deliver the many needed services we offer.

Volunteerism preserves a sense of community, brings people of different backgrounds together to achieve common goals, and promotes understanding, relationships and caring. Each year, approximately 1,100 individuals donate over 10,000 hours of volunteer service to various CAC programs.

Volunteer Orientation
