More rain than shine in the Econofoods lot as the teams of mechanics huddled under tents and swarmed around cars testing for fuel efficiency, performance and safety Saturday.

NAPA Auto Parts, Convenience Car Care, Northfield Auto Care, Valley Autohaus and Witt Bros. Service, Inc. worked together checking over 85 components of the car’s system and then reported to the owner.

Vehicle inspections were free, but the guys were doing it asking for a cash donation or non-perishable food item for the CAC Food Shelf.

Thanks to the hearty souls working on Saturday in the cold rain for food for the hungry in our community! It was a kind and generous service to the whole community.
